For Jacob's first birthday I wanted two things, for my mom to be here and to take pictures of Jacob. I got extra lucky when Amy and Eric joined us for a few days and the bonus was Liz decided to fly in for a weekend in Hartford and we time spent with both Grandparents.
His actual day of birth was very New York-y. Mom and I took him for a walk in Central Park and visit to the Metropolitan Art Museum. Amy and Eric joined us for lunch at Shake Shack and a walk through Riverside Park. Then they made dinner for us and we ended the evening watching Jacob dig into his first Magnolia cupcake. Jon picked out some fancy balloons that frightened Jacob at first, but now he likes to play with them.

Oh he is so cute! Love the pics. Glad you got your wishes for him. How crazy he is one! I also think it's fitting that his first cake was a Magnolia cupcake--lucky boy!

one! i can hardly believe it. what a big boy. how is the new crib working out for jacob? we still have jane in a pack-n-play.
i miss nyc terribly! i get to come soon though for a small design project, i'll see you at church. :)
Sounds like an awesome day of adventure! Can't believe it's been over a year since I've seen you!
