Aunt Nancy was with us when we found out we were having a boy and she made us this sign to hold for a picture after the ultrasound. Unfortunately the picture was taken on her friends camera so we never ended up with it, but I held on to the sign and had a stranger take our picture after today's ultrasound near Columbus Circle.
We are very excited that a little girl will be joining our family! Since Jon hates every name I put before him, it does not take us long to find one that works so this little girl is 99% likely to be named Rebecca Leigh.
Months ago Jon decided he'd like to name a daughter after his mom (we'll call her Rebecca or Becca to differentiate from Becky), and while it took a little longer to find a middle name, when I suggested Lee (but I think we're going to spell it Leigh) after my Aunt Nancy's middle name Jon gave it the green light. I like the idea of including at least one family name, I suppose a tradition started by my parents (Torres kid's middle names all came from a grandparent). Aunt Nancy was the one who suggested I look at BYU-Idaho so without her, Jon and I never would have met. And with out Becky there would be no Jon, so we're happy to be *naming her after two awesome women.
*We do reserve the right to change our mind about names but we landed on Jacob David early on too so I don't see us changing our mind. That is, unless something rad happens to Jon and he finally starts going for my more vintage tastes. Not likely.

I love the name (although I'm sure I would like your more "vintage" names as well)!! :)
I love it! I think if you go with it you should call her Becca!
I was wondering if you'd shorten it to Becca. Cute pic. Yay for baby girl!
Congratulations! We are excited for you guys. I think any name is better than what my co-worker picked, September Blue (all first name) because her daughter looked like a beautiful day in September.
