when liz came to town

Liz left her job at Disney in Sunny Orlando for a few days and came up to chilly Hartford to meet Jacob. We went shopping for us and baby, visited the Yale campus in New Haven to see where Rory Gilmore went to school (not as impressive as Harvard, it must be said), baked this sort of unimpressive dessert that I can't even find online but totally looked better in the picture (I'm talking to you Rachael Ray), watched Dear John (I actually liked it which surprised me a lot), ate good Japanese food, bad Chinese food, and always tasty steaks from Texas Roadhouse, visited Mark Twain's house and played with baby J. Jon came up for the weekend but for the most part it was just us girls. The weathemen forcasted a wicked storm that didn't materialize like they said it would but we enjoyed the extra day we spent there.
