We went to a Met's vs Rockies game after work last Friday. We'd invited Heidikins to go with us but she ended up going to Palmyra instead. So we had "box seats to ourselves. Box seats = six seats grouped together by metal bars. :o) The seats were great - upper deck behind home plate. It was a mess of a game, but the weather was FABULOUS. I mean, not even humid. Jon took a picture of the Manhattan skyline that he likes a lot.



About a month ago, on one of my half day Fridays, I spent the afternoon in Brooklyn with my friend Lily. She lives in a great neighborhood just over the Brooklyn Bridge in a Brownstone that was built in the 1870s. Sadly, after maybe 15 years she's moving into Manhattan - 87th street but on the other side of the park.

At any rate, we spent a great afternoon together walking around some of her favorite neighborhoods and shop where I picked up a pair of women’s Salt Water Sandals (see below – it’s hard to take good feet related pictures) that I wear constantly now, and she also pulled out some of her vintage clothes that I tried on and that fit me!! I’ll do a fashion show and post pictures later on.




Part of our walk to us to the Brooklyn Promenade where I was able to take a couple of quick pictures of the Financial District and the Brooklyn Bridge.





You wondered where my Brooklyn story was going, eh? I just wanted an excuse to do something with these downtown pictures...
