The day after we got back from London, we left for Mexico for Christmas with the Petersen. The jet lag was not as bad as we'd anticipated and we were so excited to be reunited with Jacob neither of us were bothered by running around with Jacob in the airport and entertaining him on the flight. We were happy to spend the start of December at a small resort on the Rivera Maya with Jon's family. The food was good, the sun was warmish, and we had a good time together. There are roughly a jillion pictures from the trip so here are just a few:







Jacob was unsure about the sand even though it was not his first time on the beach, but Becky and Liz warmed him up to it and in no time he was trying to eat it:


We get up early with Jacob and made friends with other parents of early risers. By the time everyone else came down for breakfast we were on second or third breakfast:


One day we all went to Xcaret, an eco park that was busy and fun as evidenced by the bus that took us there:


The first thing we did was float down a river. Jacob was screaming for the first while but by the end he had fallen asleep in the river. I exaggerate not when I tell you this kid can sleep anywhere.


After that was lunch, beach time and wandering around the aquarium and zoo area, dinner and a show.
